Your Guides

John O'Mahony (Chairman of Fenit Coast Conservation)

Join the Fenit Coast Conservation group for marram grass planting on the Fenit Island Tombolo. The tombolo connects Fenit to Fenit Island where St Brendan was born. This is a narrow ribbon of dunes located in a designated Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and a Natura 2000 site. You will learn of the environmental challenges on this part of our coastline and hear how the community and visitors join our conservation efforts. A 2km stroll along the Fenit coastline’s cultural and historical landmarks, Fenit Diving Boards and Fenit Lighthouse brings you to Locke’s Beach in Fenit village.
